Still having trouble? SurfShot.com uses cookies to store information on your computer. If you do not have cookies enabled on your browser you will not be able to view the site.

13. I logged onto SurfShot.com and all of a sudden I was asked to login again. What’s the deal?

SurfShot.com only allows you to be logged into one computer at a time. If you give your username and password out to other people you will not be permitted to login if one of the other parties to whom who gave your password is logged in.

14. I am still having problems logging in, what should I do?

Just contact us. We will be glad to help you out with your problems.

15. Can I share my membership account with other people?

No, you can't share your account with anyone. The only way we can keep the site going and keep prices low is if everyone pays their fair share. Furthermore, the SurfShot.com terms of use, to which every member agrees when they sign up for the service, clearly state that there can be no sharing of passwords.

We do track IP addresses. When you share your password you are simply ripping us off and opening yourself up to civil liability.

16. Can I check the Premium areas of SurfShot.com from different computers using the same membership account?

Yes, you can check SurfShot.com from up to four different computers / IP Addresses within a period of 24 hours. This means you won't have any problems accessing the premium areas of SurfShot.com if you check it from home, office, or friend's house in the same day.

17. Why does SurfShot restrict access to Premium Member areas for certain accounts?

First of all, if you, and only you, use your SurfShot.com membership, there is nothing to worry about! 98% of our members use and operate their accounts under the Terms of Use of our site, which means they don't tell anyone what their username and password is. On the other hand, the other 2% of our members do share their user name and password with other users. This is not just against the law but this stops our growth and ability to offer the vast majority of our members an even better service!

18. How does SurfShot restrict access to those sharing their username and passwords?

Every time you login into the Web site on a different computer, you are automatically logged out on the computer on which you were previously checking the Web site. If you login at your work computer, the system will automatically log you out on your computer at home. OR, if a friend has your username and password and he logs in into the system, this login is tracked and it also will log you out on your computer.

We know that our users check the SurfShot.com Web site from different computers and so each member is now allowed to check restricted areas of our site (Surf Reports, Forecast, etc) from at most five unique and different IP addresses within a period of 24 hours. If there are more than five unique IP addresses logging into your account, you and all other computers will be restricted. All members who have shared their password should immediately change their password so no one else can login and restrict you, the paying member, from access to the Premium Member areas of the site. To change your password, click here.

19. What happens if more people keep logging into my account and it is already in the 24 hour Restricted Access period?

For each new login from different computers / IP Addresses taking place from a 4th, 5th, etc unique IP address, the longer it will take for the 24h restricted access period to clear and allow you access to Premium member areas of the site again.

20. How can I see how many Unique IP addresses have logged into my account in the last 24 hours?

It is easy to see all the login activity in your account. First you need to be logged into your account so we show you your specific account information. If you are not logged in, please do so on the login area below the top navigation bar. If you are logged in, please click here. This page will show you how many unique IP addresses have logged into your account. It will also show you all the logins that took place in the last 24 and 48 hours. This list will show you the date, time, IP address, operating system and Browser used on each login.

21. Ok, I was using my friend's account. How can I now get access back to the Premium areas of the SurfShot.com site?

First, if you are now logged in with someone else's account, please click here to log out. After you log out, create your own SurfShot.com account (in case you already have an account for you, login into your own account) and then select a membership plan. You will be accessing all areas of the site instantly.
